Control gear enclosure is mounted separately from the optical assembly. It also allows the luminaire to be used in higher ambient temperature locations which may be encountered in tropical and hot industrial applications. A generously designed control gear enclosure box allows an integral ambient limit at a high 60C and higher when gear is remote. The optical chamber is fully enclosed by a special neoprene compressible extrusion which seals the refractor, rim band and reflector.

OPTILUX VERY LOW PROFILE WIDE SPREADING LUMINAIRE For minimal mounting height - commercial & industrial applications Applications Demand for Energy Saving H.I.D. Lighting at ever lower mounting heights led to the evolution of OPTILUX.

Designed to accomodate lamps up to 175 Watts, this luminaire can be used at ceiling heights down to 3 metres. The beautifully moulded and even glare control of the precise injection moulded acrylic refractor permits very wide coverage with relatively powerful lamps. Toggle clips allow easy access for lamp replacement, the refractor being held on a safety link. Very high efficiencies obtained by OPTILUX leads to dramatic Energy Saving installations by combining the superb refractor / reflector design with latest in high output H.I.D lamps. OPTILUX is ideal for Coal Preparation Plants, Transfer Towers, Tunnels, Food Processing areas and anywhere where low ceiling height was a constraint. Special versions are available for mining and corrosive atmosphere situations.

Features - Precise optical control is achieved by placing the lamp at the ideal position within the injection moulded virgin acrylic (non-yellowing) refractor. The refractor is retained in a stainless steel band incorporating an extruded neoprene gasket, the whole assembly being held firmly to the formed aluminium body be means of three toggle catches. (IP 65) for simple maintenance.

316 stainless steel version is manufactured with special mounting plates (see illustration) for use in mining applications and corrosive atmospheres.
