Uplight is necessary to eliminate areas of shadowy contrast between luminaire and ceiling, which lend an unattractive cave-like appearance to the parking areas or low mounting situations. Uplight also makes ceilings seem higher and the entire facility more spacious. Uniform lighting fills shadows and eliminates dark spots for increased security and safer pedestrian and vehicular movement.
