| The BETALUX ability to provide a radial 'bat wing' light distribution sends
light where you want it, i.e. onto vertical surfaces, into shelving and display gondolas, under equipment and penetrates
into enclosures, engine compartments and trucks etc. BETALUX is designed to be spaced far apart (up to 3 times mounting height) thus further reducing costs, installation and energy consumption. The superbly designed refractor is a model of even flashing and redirectional prisms which allow light to reach into the darkest recesses. Perhaps most important of all, people look good because of the soft modelling effect inherent in a more horizontal emitted light. Intense reflections are also supressed - in short better quality lighting. |

Features - The BETALUX Control Gear Housing and Reflector are constructed from heavy gauge zinc coated steel and finished in extremely hard wearing powder coating finish. The injection moulded acrylic refractor is held tight to the reflector compressing a neoprene extrusion thus sealing the optical chamber (meets requirement of IP65). This chamber is allowed to breath through an activated charcoal filter thus keeping the interior free from contaminants during the hot/cold lamp switching cycle. There is a safety link between the refractor and the reflector to prevent accidental dislodgement during relamping. |
| BETALUX can operate in ambients up to 45oC. and higher if the remote control
gear version is used. The injection moulded Acrylic non yellowing refractor is secured to the reflector by low
profile stainless steel clips allowing rapid lamp change from below. BETALUX can be recessed using a regressed metal panel sitting neatly into the standard 600 x 600mm 'T' Bar ceiling or can be surface mounted or suspended. Overall height can be reduced by remote mounting the control gear housing and replacing it on the reflector by a shallow casting. Max weight 10kg. BETALUX is fully sealed and the optical chamber breathes through a filter keeping the performance in an 'as new' condition. BETALUX should be considered for use in retail store areas, shopping malls, store and despatch areas, low roof factories and assembly areas, food processing areas (BETALUX is DPI approved), aircraft and transport servicing departments, paper and textile industries. |

| With gains in efficiency and running costs of around 50%, the ULTRALUX Junior
now becomes the logical choice for such areas as Retail Store applications (recessed or suspended) major building
entrances and foyers, gymnasium and public areas, warehouses and aisle lighting, factory assembly areas, industrial
production areas, aircraft hangars and Food Industry applications. The ULTRALUX Junior low bay luminaire is intended for use in mounting height applications from 3 metres to 6 metres from the floor. It is ideally wired with a 250 Watt Metal Halide, High Pressure Sodium or Mercury Vapour lamp (150/175 Watt lamps also available); it's large refractor is designed to diffuse glare to comfortable levels and redirect light emitted over a very wide area. It has a mounting height to spacing ratio maximum of 1.8:1 ie distance apart to distance from the working plane to the underside of the fitting. |
Luminous Intensity Distribution Curve![]() (Typical Vertical Curve for 250W lamp - Symmetrical Distribution) |
Features - The ULTRALUX Junior can be suspended, semi-recessed or fully recessed and there is a metal pan available which suits a 600 x 600mm T-Bar grid. The Reflector has an outer flange which allows for direct to ceiling recessing while the low profile diffuser clips will still operate to permit re-lamping from below. The fitting is finished in an extremely hard wearing high silicone content white powder-coat finish. The interior is similarly treated with a white high reflectivity finish to permit maximum diffusion. There is a safety link between the reflector and the diffuser assembly to facilitate re-lamping. |
| The optical chamber is fully enclosed by a special neoprene compressible
extrusion which seals the refractor, rim band and reflector. The sealed optical assembly is then allowed to breathe
through an activated charcoal filter which maintains the interior in an 'as new' condition even in the most adverse
environments (IP65). The injection moulded Acrylic non yellowing refractor is retained in a stainless steel rim band secured to the reflector by low profile stainless steel clips allowing rapid lamp change from below. The ULTRALUX Junior Control Gear enclosure can be mounted separately from the optical assembly and is replaced by a small casting containing a terminal block. This reduces the overall height of the luminaire for low profile situations. It also allows the luminaire to be used in higher ambient temperature locations which may be encountered in tropical and hot industrial applications. A generously designed control gear enclosure box allows an Integral ambient limit at a high 60oC. and higher when gear is remote. |
